Users instructions for the CatAlert Mark
II
The CatAlertTM is an Electronic Sonic Collar
intended to be worn by domestic cats. It emits a beep every seven
seconds, which alerts birds and prevents cat attacks on them. The
continuous beeping makes the birds aware of the presence of the cat
and allows them to evade capture.

The CatAlert - Mark II...
The beeping noise can be switched on and off by the
owner e.g. so that the collar can be silent when the cat is indoors.
The collar also incorporates a light sensor that will automatically
switch it off in low light levels. This means that the cat can hunt
successfully in dark buildings such as farmer’s barns and at night.
Alternatively the owner can switch off the light sensor and allow
the CatAlert to beep in the darkness as well, thus preventing the
cat hunting successfully at night and from deep shade in poor
daylight (e.g. from under hedges).
If the sounder is off and you wish to switch it
on:
- Press the button briefly
- You will hear one long beep followed by two short beeps
- The device will now beep every 7 seconds (if there is enough
light).
If the sounder is on and you want
to switch it off:
- Press the button briefly
- You will hear one long beep followed by one short beep
- The device will now remain silent
